REVIEW - Absolute New York : Glossy Stain & Eye Artiste Palette

Last Saturday me and Medan Beauty Gram members were invited to Absolute New York counter @ SOGO Sun Plaza
We were welcomed to try out all of the collections displayed, and then we were introduced to their newest products, which is ...
*drum rolls*
The Eye Artiste Palette & Glossy Stain Lipstick !

We received a complimentary voucher which we can choose one Eye Artiste Palette and two Glossy Stain, I chose the Art of Rose palette, and Glossy Stains in shades AGS06 Femme Fatale & AGS08 Heart Breaker

1. Eye Artiste Palette - Art Of Rose

This palette consists of 3 mattes, 7 shimmers
It came with a dual ended shadow sponge
price : Rp.175.000

The pigmentation on the mattes are great, it feels really smooth & soft.
As for the shimmers, the light pink shade (3rd) aren't as pigmented, but the darker shades works really well, especially the black shade! They're really beautiful on the eye, but they're way too glittery for my liking.
BUT the 4th shade, which is a golden pink shade, is not glittery as the other shimmers, AND the colour is really pretty, like seriously guys it is my favorite shade of all !!! I also really love the 6th shade, which is a deeper pink - compared to the 3rd shade - , but still, too glittery for my liking.
( as for you guys who loves glittery products, you might love them ! )

I think this palette is really suitable for everyday wear, you can use the neutral pinkish shades for day look, and add the darker shades for night look !

2. Glossy Stain Lipstick

I swatched the Glossy Stain on the event, and erased them with both baby oil & makeup removers, and the tint actually stays!
Colours are slightly lighter because of the lighting, check out how it looks on the lips below :)

AGS06 Femme Fatale - Deep dark red
AGS08 - Mauve deep red
Price : Rp.130.000

The Glossy Stain is said to be " a unique hybrid gloss and stain formula ", which I actually agree, because it ACTUALLY stains (tint) the lips, even if you remove it with makeup remover, the product will be erased, BUT your lips will be tinted with colours, which means it is actually tint-ing your lips & long-wearing, especially when you're going out all night long and you don't need to retouch !!
The formula is quite liquidy -which makes it easy to glide on the lips-, pigmentation is superb nice & it doesn't feels sticky on the lips at all. I've tried the transfer-proof test with a tissue, it does transfer a little bit, but doesn't change anything on the lips !

Does not feels sticky on your lips - I know I look retarded

It does transfer a bit, but did not change the colour on the lips
p.s. it's sticking on my lips because of my saliva lol

Removed with makeup remover, still looking pretty ain't it ?

Wait, you might think that it'll dry your lips, don't you? The answer is absolutely NO, it does not dry my lips, which I really love because my lips are easily chapped ( which is the reason I haven't been wearing any liquid lipstick ever since )

The applicator itself is really useful, as you can see in the picture above, it is pointy which makes it so much easier to apply to the lips !

The glossy stain might be my go-to lippie now, because I love the colours and how it didn't dry my lips all day long ( might be because it contains both Argan Oil & Chamomile Extract )

Here's picture of me wearing the products :

Glossy Stain - AGS08 Heart Breaker

Glossy Stain - AGS06 Femme Fatale

Glossy Stain - AGS06 Femme Fatale ( only the tinted colour as I've removed it with makeup remover )

That's it for today, stay tuned for my next post !

REVIEW - Focallure Bright Lux & Twilight palette

Focallure is a makeup brand from China, which is currently so popular among the beauty vlogger. I wasn't really interested in buying the products at first, but as reviews and tutorials of it went everywhere, I became curious. So I bought both Bright Lux & Twilight palette from Focallure and waited for approximately half a month for it to come.

And when the waiting is over, I was so excited to unbox and swatch the eyeshadows right away, but as expected *I've seen a lot of bad reviews about how ppl received their broken palettes*, both palettes has broken shadow. Twilight has one broken shadow ( Party ) and Bright Lux has two broken shadow ( Brown Gold & Bisque ). I was quite disappointed by that, and how the seller didn't use any bubble wrap to ship them to me. Then I went to search for alcohol to mend them, and well... I don't have any. I've thought about using my Bioderma ( yes I know it sounds crazy to use a makeup remover to mend broken makeup, but I did it once and it honestly works ), however, I'm still quite hesitated. I decided to use my makeup setting spray, and guess what? They're all fixed !!

After they've dried up, I swatches the three of them, both Party & Brown Gold looks okay, but Bisque DOESN'T SHOW UP AT ALL, and the colour became more yellow-ish compared to the original color. For that reason, I won’t be swatching Bisque on this review because you’ll see nothing of it too.

1. Focallure Bright Lux Palette

Focallure Bright Lux swatches

When I first saw this palette, I can only think about the Huda Beauty one. The color range looks pretty similar to me. I didn’t expect much about this palette as I thought the pigmentation won’t be as great as the other palettes that I owned. But I was wrong, the shimmer shadows are beyond amazing ! Even only one swatch, it shows up really good, I really like them. The mattes too are amazing, but they’re not as pigmented as the shimmers, and they feels a little bit powdery. About the packaging, I’m not very fond of it. It seems to be made of thick cardboards, it doesn’t have a mirror, and no brush is provided.

Include : 7 blinding shimmers, 1 subtle shimmer, 10 mattes
Color range : Pink-ish & Red-ish

2. Focallure Twilight Palette

I didn’t planned to buy this palette at first, it was suggested, so I thought why not? The shimmers in this palette has the same pigmentation as the Bright Lux, but it has a duochrome shadow in it !!! It is the shade “Summon”. When you look at it, it looks like a deep green shimmer shadow, but when you swatch it, it turns out to be brown-green duochrome shadow, and I really like it ! The mattes are not as pigmented as the mattes in the Bright Lux palette, but it is buildable, and still it feels powdery. Packaging is the same as the Bright Lux, made from thick cardboard, no mirror, no brush.

Include : 10 shimmers, 8 mattes
Color range : Brown-ish & Red-ish

I will try to make a tutorial soon, so stay tuned !
