REVIEW - Focallure Bright Lux & Twilight palette

Focallure is a makeup brand from China, which is currently so popular among the beauty vlogger. I wasn't really interested in buying the products at first, but as reviews and tutorials of it went everywhere, I became curious. So I bought both Bright Lux & Twilight palette from Focallure and waited for approximately half a month for it to come.

And when the waiting is over, I was so excited to unbox and swatch the eyeshadows right away, but as expected *I've seen a lot of bad reviews about how ppl received their broken palettes*, both palettes has broken shadow. Twilight has one broken shadow ( Party ) and Bright Lux has two broken shadow ( Brown Gold & Bisque ). I was quite disappointed by that, and how the seller didn't use any bubble wrap to ship them to me. Then I went to search for alcohol to mend them, and well... I don't have any. I've thought about using my Bioderma ( yes I know it sounds crazy to use a makeup remover to mend broken makeup, but I did it once and it honestly works ), however, I'm still quite hesitated. I decided to use my makeup setting spray, and guess what? They're all fixed !!

After they've dried up, I swatches the three of them, both Party & Brown Gold looks okay, but Bisque DOESN'T SHOW UP AT ALL, and the colour became more yellow-ish compared to the original color. For that reason, I won’t be swatching Bisque on this review because you’ll see nothing of it too.

1. Focallure Bright Lux Palette

When I first saw this palette, I can only think about the Huda Beauty one. The color range looks pretty similar to me. I didn’t expect much about this palette as I thought the pigmentation won’t be as great as the other palettes that I owned. But I was wrong, the shimmer shadows are beyond amazing ! Even only one swatch, it shows up really good, I really like them. The mattes too are amazing, but they’re not as pigmented as the shimmers, and they feels a little bit powdery. About the packaging, I’m not very fond of it. It seems to be made of thick cardboards, it doesn’t have a mirror, and no brush is provided.

Include : 7 blinding shimmers, 1 subtle shimmer, 10 mattes
Color range : Pink-ish & Red-ish

2. Focallure Twilight Palette

I didn’t planned to buy this palette at first, it was suggested, so I thought why not? The shimmers in this palette has the same pigmentation as the Bright Lux, but it has a duochrome shadow in it !!! It is the shade “Summon”. When you look at it, it looks like a deep green shimmer shadow, but when you swatch it, it turns out to be brown-green duochrome shadow, and I really like it ! The mattes are not as pigmented as the mattes in the Bright Lux palette, but it is buildable, and still it feels powdery. Packaging is the same as the Bright Lux, made from thick cardboard, no mirror, no brush.

Include : 10 shimmers, 8 mattes
Color range : Brown-ish & Red-ish

I will try to make a tutorial soon, so stay tuned !
